It looked like Steve had a little bit of tech savvy after all. Unless, of course, Tony had set up the entire computer lab. But, no, there was a single computer that predated all of the others, and if you had to bet money on it you would wager that Cap had set it up himself. The wires didn't look right.
Thor was still pacing near the door, which was where Captain Rogers had posted him. When he had protested too much, Barton had explained that he was the most capable Avenger to keep a solid eye on you and that if you freaked out again, he was the only one who knew how to calm you down. That worked, and he had been in the room ever since.
“Thor?” You rolled your eyes at yourself, you sounded so weak. “What's going on?”
The big guy stop pacing and flexed his hand around Mjonir's handle. “I think it is best if you do not know.”
“Why?” You put a finger to your mouth and resisted the sudden urge to bite your nails.
“You are ill, (Y/n).”
You blinked twice. What? You felt fine, despite all the tests that the scientist bros kept running to see why you had lost your memory. You were fine. “What are you talking about?”
“He knows not.”
Thor used three strides to step across the room and shield you with his massive form. Loki smiled from near the door.
“Hello, brother.”
Thor pushed you back a couple of steps. “How did you pass the others?”
“Oh, you know I have my ways.”
You tried to see around Thor's wide shoulders and abdomen, but he kept pushing you behind him. Like he was scared that Loki might hurt you. Which, of course, was ridiculous. The guy had saved you!
A hand clamped around your mouth and you resisted the urge to scream. What if it was another hallucination?
It dragged you backward. Nope, not a hallucination. You started to fight, but hands gripped your shoulders and turned you around. Anything you could have said died in your throat.
Loki smiled down at you and put a finger to his lips.
On impulse, you leapt forward and wrapped your arms around his middle. He used one arm to return the hug, the other still held his spear.
Loki pushed you away slightly and reached out to take your hand in his. You allowed him to do so, though you had no idea why. Maybe he wasn't as bad as they made him out to be.
He led you slowly around his brother and toward the door. Thor continued to argue with the other Loki. Man, clones could be confusing. And Loki sure liked to use them.
The door slid shut.
“How did you find me?” you blurted. You couldn't help your curiosity. You had to know.
Loki chuckled and didn't release your hand. “It was not difficult.”
“I...I saw Joe.”
“I am aware.” He peered around a corner before he led you that way.
You stopped dead in your tracks and tilted your head. “You're aware? You mean you knew?”
Loki tugged at your hand, but you didn't let up. You stood your ground. No way were you leaving with him if he didn't start explaining some things. “I watched, unable to rescue you from him. Thor did an adequate job. I am grateful to him for that.”
You let him tug you down the hallway. “You were there the whole time and you didn't try to come in and get me? Why not?”
“It would have been futile.”
“I think you could take 'em.” You smiled. It might be interesting to see Loki fight all the Avengers at one time. You couldn't help but laugh.
“What's so humorous?” Loki asked.
You shook your head. “I'll tell you later. Just—”
Red-black liquid swirled down from the ceiling and extended its claws toward your head. You screamed as all the strength drained from your body. Loki caught you before you hit the floor.
“No,” he whispered, looking desperately around the hallway. He lifted his chin to scream. “No!”
You heard footsteps racing down nearby hallways, and Loki tightened his grip on you. He lost the spear somewhere along the way, and took off running toward the outside of the bunker.
“Help me,” you managed to mutter as static swarmed in your head.
A repulsor blast charred the metal door up ahead, but Loki didn't slow down. He pushed through the door and headed for the borrowed S.H.I.E.L.D. plane. Set you gently on one of the seats and didn't bother to strap you in.
Something tightened in – or around? – your throat and you tilted your head back to try to shake it off.
“Remain strong,” Loki commanded. The plane started in no time, and you felt it lift from the ground.
Cap's shield hit the side of the loading door, and a volley of arrows followed. Nothing exploded. Maybe Hawkeye was resistant to blow up the plane with you on it. That was nice of him.
Something jolted the side of the plane, throwing you backward across the floor. Slipping and sliding toward the open loading dock. You screamed as you catapulted out of the plane.
But, then Loki's hand was around your wrist. Holding tightly. You curled your fingers around his wrist as tightly as you could, sure that you would break bone with your petrified grip.
Your body sailed out behind the plane, pulled by the force of the wind at this altitude.
Loki braced himself and pulled with all his strength – more strength than you had given him credit for. In moments, you were back in the plane. You tried to calm your breathing as Loki pulled you into a firm embrace.
Something sounded on the roof of the plane.
Loki groaned.

TBAW (Loki~x~Reader) ~ Ch 7
Upon hearing Tony's words, you begin to panic inside.
They know about my powers?! But how?! How is that even possible?! They must be bluffing.
"There must be some mistake. I don't have any powers. What the hell are you talking about?" you respond to Tony, playing dumb.
The Avengers glance at each other then start muttering to one another, having just gathered into a small circle.
"Then how do you explain this?" Loki pulls the head of a Chitauri out of his vest.
The face is severely burned, most likely from when you used your flames to escape from the now-dead Chitauri grasp.
"By thunder! Loki! How did you acquire that hideous souvenir?"

TBAW (Loki~X~Reader) ~ Chapter 10
"Well, until you talk to us, you'll have to stay in Loki's old cell," Tony says, smirking at Loki.
By Fury's orders, the large glass cell had been moved into the tower as soon as S.H.I.E.L.D. had been told that Loki was moving into the tower.
All of the Avengers had protested, except for Thor, who had mixed feelings.
Thor still remembers the events that brought his brother here today, as did Loki.

Steve Rogers x Reader - The Only One [part 1]
Please, read The Matchmaker (Avengers X Reader) - Prologue first.
‘For all the gods’ sake! Why I had to bump into Captain America?’
“(Name)?!” Steve's voice was filled with disbelief, a blush on his cheeks.
You had no idea, which one of you was more embarrassed – you, being so aware of your outfit or Rogers seeing you in those clothes. The worst thing was that the elevator's door already closed and you had nowhere to run from here. Therefore, now you were standing in this little metal box, staring at each other for a few long seconds with flushed faces.
“You look... different.̶
